GLOBE GUESTHOUSE STANDARD TERMS & CONDITIONS
Thank you for choosing to book with us at the Globe Guesthouse. We look forward to welcoming you to our home. When you make a booking you are entering into an agreement with us. Please take note of the terms and conditions of booking below.
ARRIVAL
Check in is between 2pm and 8pm. Please let us know your approximate arrival time so we can make sure we are here to welcome you.
DEPARTURE
Check out is by 10am on the day of departure. We are happy to store your bags for collection at an agreed later time, subject to availability.
PAYMENT
For direct bookings we secure your reservation using the credit card details provided. We will verify your credit card details via our service provider Barclaycard Payment Services, but we will not charge your card at that time.
1. If you should cancel more than 7 days of the reservation, there will be no charge at all.
2. If you should cancel within 7 days of the reservation we reserve the right to charge 50% of the cost of your stay to your card.
3. If you should cancel on the day of the reservation, or you do not arrive (no show), we reserve the right to charge the full cost of your stay to your card.
For bookings via an Online Travel Agent e.g. ‘Booking.Com’ or ‘Expedia’ their terms and conditions will apply regarding the payment and cancellation policy.
We strongly advise that you have travel insurance to cover the cost of your stay in the event of cancellation.
Our listed prices include accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis. Any extras are charged as ordered.
We accept cash or card payment on arrival. We no longer accept cheques.
ROOMS
We have a maximum of two people per room. All are ensuite and have one double size bed. The rooms are serviced daily, towels and bed linen are changed every third day unless requested earlier.
CHILDREN
Children of any age are welcome. We do not provide cots or high chairs due to the wide variety of parent’s preferences and concerns, but are very happy to make room for your own.
SMOKING
In accordance with Welsh Government laws, smoking is not permitted anywhere in the house. Any evidence of guests smoking or vaping in the rooms will lead to the guest/s being asked to leave and being charged in full. A standard charge of £100 to cover required deep cleaning of the room will be charged to the card used to secure the booking. For these purposes this includes e cigarettes and vaping as well as tobacco products.
Guests are very welcome to smoke in the front garden, where an ashtray is provided by the gate.
FOOD PURCHASED ELSEWHERE
You are welcome to use the dining room to consume food purchased elsewhere, such as take-aways or fish and chips etc and we will prepare a table with the required cutlery and crockery upon request. However, no take-away food is allowed in our bedrooms. An additional cost of £100 will be charged to the card that was used to secure the booking if deep cleaning is required in the room.
PARKING
PETS
We do not accept pets. We can however accept guide dogs with prior notice.
NON-AVAILABILITY
In the very unlikely event that we would need to cancel your accommodation we would endeavour to find alternative accommodation for you. If this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
DAMAGES AND BREAKAGES
We reserve the right to charge for breakages and/or damages you may cause to the accommodation or its contents. We understand accidents do happen and would only charge in the case of significant, malicious, or negligent damage. Please report any such incidents as soon as they occur.
Please remember Globe is also our home and any items on display or being used in the running of our business belong to us. Anything removed without prior agreement will be charged at the replacement value.
LIABILITY
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or any contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
